付巧 博士

Dr. Fu Qiao

付巧，讲师，博士，硕士研究生导师。校“长安青年学术骨干”，英语系副主任。中国辞书学会第五届、第六届双语辞书专业委员会理事，中国英汉语比较研究会法律语言学专业委员会会员。

主要研究领域为双语词典学及法律翻译。近年来，先后在《外国语文》、《中国教育学刊》、《出版发行研究》、《图书情报工作》等核心刊物发表学术论文6篇，出版译著2部，参与完成国家社科基金项目、省部级项目各2项。

曾获“校级优秀教师”、“和平杯”中国法律外交翻译大赛优秀指导教师奖、“LEC杯”法律英语术语翻译知识竞赛优秀指导教师奖。

Dr. Fu Qiao is Lecturer and Supervisor for MTI Program Candidates at the School of Foreign Languages, Northwest University of Political Science and Law (Xi’an). She also holds the title of the University’s Chang’an Young Academic Backbone Scholar and serves the position of the Deputy Director of the English Department at the School. Dr. Fu is a Council Member of the 5th and 6th Bilingual Lexicographical Professional Committee of the Lexicographical Society of China, and member of the Legal Linguistics Professional Committee of China Association for Comparative Studies of English and Chinese.

Dr. Fu’s main research areas are bilingual lexicography and legal translation. In recent years, she has published 6 academic papers in core journals such as Foreign Language and Literature，Journal of the Chinese Society of Education, Publishing Research, and Library and Information Service, and translated 2 works. She has also participated in the completion of 2 National Social Science Fund Projects and 2 Provincial/ministerial-level Research projects.

In addition, Dr. Fu has received such honors as the “Outstanding Faculty Award of NWUPL”, “Excellent Guidance Teacher Award of China ‘Peace Cup’ Legal & Diplomatic Translation Contest”, and “Distinguished Mentor Award of ‘LEC Cup’ Legal English Terminology Translation Knowledge Competition”.
